Beargrease Eagle 70 is a versatile fat tire bike designed for winter ultras, hot laps on snowy singletrack, and any other all-terrain, all-conditions rides you can cook up.

The 27.5 x 4.5" tires grant you all the float and traction you need to traverse snow, sand, or slick trails. Trail bike geometry and a dropper post keep you stable and in-control on snowy singletrack, winter ultra courses, or all-terrain, all-conditions wandering.

The 6061-T6 aluminum frame is stiff for efficient pedaling and comes loaded with rack, cargo, and accessory mounts to keep you supplied on those out-all-day (or week) adventures. SRAM’s Eagle 70 groupset is a trusty companion, making it easy to shift pace from flowy groomed trails to grinding climbs.

Cargo Capacity

Beargrease lets you load up for all-day rides or adventures far from home. The main triangle fits three bottles on SM–XL frames (two on XS frames). You can also run a rear rack with the use of our Salsa Rack-Lock Seatpost Clamp (sold separately). Direct-mount frame bag mounts in the main triangle (carbon frames only) make for an extra-secure, streamlined frame bag setup.

And the redesigned Bearpaw frok gives you ample cargo space, with two sets of Three-Pack mounts and a mini-panneir compatibility.

27.5 x 4.5" Tires

These are the largest wheels and tires Salsa has ever offered on a fat-tire bike. They provide enormous traction and float for sticking to your line in steep, soft, and loose terrain. Their size also helps them roll easily rolling over rocks, roots and other trail obstacles for a smoother ride.

6061-T6 Aluminum Frame

Beargrease’s UDH-ready aluminum frame has a high stiffness to weight ratio, meaning minimal flex when pedaling and durability that can hold up to any Adventure by Bike.
