The Propel P:1 Wetsuit is an all-around performer equipped with many of the technical features to give aspiring swimmers a winning edge.

  • BOUYANT & DURABLE: A combination of premium Japanese Yamamoto 39 Cell smooth skin and laminated nylon neoprene is bouyant and durable, with varying thicknesses throughout the body of the wetsuit preventing sinky legs and putting you in perfect horizontal swimming position

  • REDUCED WATER RESISTANCE: Super Composite Skin (SCS) hydrodynamic coating reduces surface drag for more speed

  • ENHANCED EFFICIENCY: Floating zip panel increases movement for improved distance per stroke

  • IMPROVED ROTATION: Rollbar technology ensures less bouyancy on perimeter of wetsuit, allowing snappier side-to-side rotation and eliminating dead spots in your freestyle

  • INNER COMFORT & SUPPORT: Often-overlooked internal liner is engineered for 520% stretch to ensure comfort and low absorption

GENERAL STORAGE & MAINTENANCE
RINSING YOUR SUIT

1. AVOID CONTACT OF THE SMOOTH SKIN
SIDE OF NEOPRENE WITH ANYTHING
ABRASIVE
Your 2XU wetsuit is designed for open water
swimming and shouldn’t be used for diving,
sailing, surfing or wind surfing. The rough side
of the velcro closure at the top of the zip can
compromise the smooth skin surface if not
fully covered and closed when swimming.
Try to keep the rough part of the closure shut
at all times to avoid touching the smooth skin.

2. AVOID USE IN CHLORINATED POOLS
Chlorine may compromise the life span
of the wetsuit.

3. AVOID PETROLEUM BASED LUBRICANTS
While lubricants can be effective in reducing
the chance of neck chafe, petroleum based
products break down the neoprene, making
the wetsuit more brittle and susceptible to
tearing. Use a product made from naturally
derived ingredients.

4. ASK SOMEONE TO ZIP YOU IN
If you have limited experience getting
into your suit, ask someone to assist you.
This will ensure you don’t damage the floating
zip when attempting to zip it up yourself.

1. POST-RACE OR TRAINING
Thoroughly rinse your wetsuit in fresh water
either just after use or immediately after you
get home from competition or training.

2. POST-RINSE
Hang in half on a hanger, not by the shoulders
inside-out to dry. Turning the suit inside-out
encourages a faster drying result. Hang in
the open air and out of direct sunlight where
possible. Once the inside is dry to touch,
turn the suit right-side-out and return to the
hanger in a cool, dark place when not in use.

1. AT THE END OF THE SEASON, CAREFULLY
CHECK YOUR SUIT BOTH INSIDE AND OUT
Inside - Check all seams and zip to make sure
all teeth are present and tracking smoothly.
Outside - Check for fingernail cuts or fragile
seams which may require repair.

2. GET REPAIRS DONE IMMEDIATELY AND
NOT NEXT SEASON WHEN YOU’RE LIKELY
TO FORGET
Minor repairs like fingernail cuts can be
easily fixed at home.

3. MAJOR SEAM REPAIRS ARE BEST
LEFT TO WETSUIT REPAIR EXPERTS
If your wetsuit is still under warranty,
contact your nearest 2XU Performance
Centre or complimentary maintenance.

4. NEVER LEAVE THE WETSUIT OUT IN THE
SUN FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME
The sun’s UV rays and heat accelerate the
breakdown of neoprene. Avoid leaving your
wetsuit inside of your car on a hot day as
wetsuits can melt within hours. The wetsuit glue
can melt and prematurely age the neoprene.

5. GETTING FLEXIBILITY BACK IN YOUR SUIT
When you first try on your suit after a few
months, it may feel inflexible. To restore its
suppleness, soak it in the bath for a few
hours and then hang out to dry.
