Terms and Conditions

  • Labour charges listed do not include any parts which may be necessary to complete your bike's maintenance.
  • When your bike is dropped off, a service writer will assess your bike, and inform you of any possible parts that may need to be replaced.
  • Should an issue come up during the maintenance or repair process, you will be contacted regarding any possible increase in cost.

2 Day Turn-around

  • Bicycles can be dropped off for service during store hours.
  • Two day turn-around is based on a first-come first-serve basis and available technician hours.
  • Days Bushtukah is closed are not included in 2 day calculations.
  • Sevice delays may happen due to circumstances out of our control (out of stock parts).

Shop Service Guarantee

We guarantee complete work on any bike you buy from any of our Bushtukah locations. We even guarantee our work on bikes we don't sell as long as they were originally purchased from an Independent Bicycle Dealer. 

If there is an issue specifically related to our shop service on your bike, we will continue to diagnose and service your bike for FREE (up to 30 days after the original service), until it's right.

FAQs

We are the National Capital regions Trek and Specialized experts. While we service other brands, we may not be able to source parts for all bikes. As a result we will not be able to service the following:

  1. Bikes 20+ years old
  2. Bikes from large big box retailers because these bikes often have parts that we cannot source for repair.
  3. Bikes from brands which include proprietary parts that are only available to bike shops that sell that brand.
  4. E-bikes from brands we do not sell
  5. Bikes with Campagnolo parts
  6. Bikes that are in very poor shape (ie. substantially rusted)
  7. Recumbents, hand cycles, adult tricycles, and other non conventional specialty bike like objects

E-Bike Service Policy

At Bushtukah, we’re committed to offering safe, high-quality service for electric bicycles. To ensure the best care and safety for both our team and customers, we currently service only e-bikes equipped with one of the following drive systems: Bosch, TQ, Fazua, Mahle, Specialized Turbo, Shimano, and Hyena.

We do not service e-bikes with drive systems from manufacturers not listed above, or those with unrecognized, generic, or third-party motor systems. Additionally, we only work on pedal-assist e-bikes—we do not service throttle-only models.

All e-bikes brought in must meet the UL 2849 safety standard, which ensures proper electrical and fire safety. E-bikes without this certification are not eligible for service.

To maintain safety and quality, we reserve the right to refuse service on any e-bike that has been modified from its original specifications—this includes changes to the drive system, battery, wiring, or performance tuning—or if the bike appears unsafe or structurally compromised. This includes any signs of battery damage, which may pose a safety risk and will make the bike ineligible for service.

In some cases, we may ask you to take your battery home with you during service for safety or storage reasons. If your e-bike requires a key to remove the battery, please bring the key with you when dropping off the bike.

Monday - Wednesday: 10:00am - 6:00pm
Thursday - Friday: 10:00am - 7:00pm
Saturday: 10:00am - 6:00pm
Sunday: 10:00am - 5:00pm

  • Bikes are to be picked up on the day service has been completed.
  • Bikes left unclaimed for more than one week beyond the service completion date of service will be moved to off-site storage.
  • Once a bike has been moved to off-site storage we require 2 business days notice to bring it back to the store. 
  • Bikes left unclaimed for more than 30 days will be donated to local charity.
