Salsa designed Spearfish Deore to excel in endurance rides like the Arizona Trail, but it’s playful enough that you’ll choose it for your everyday singletrack sessions, too.

The durable 6066-T6 aluminum frame holds up to trail hits and long, tough miles.

The progressive XC bike geometry makes Spearfish a capable performer on climbs and technical sections while staying composed on descents.

The RockShox Deluxe Select+ shock offers 100 mm of rear travel and our Split Pivot suspension design makes the most of it, with supple bump compliance, predictable braking, and superb traction.

The 120 mm RockShox Recon Silver RL fork handles trail chatter up front for a smooth, efficient ride. Spearfish has room for two full-size water bottles and features a set of top tube mounts so you can fit more of your ride gear down low on your frame rather than in a sweaty pack on your back.

Shimano’s Deore 1 x 12 is a blend of smooth performance and reliability that will take you far.

  • 6066-T6 aluminum frame
  • Split Pivot suspension design is fully active under braking and supportive throughout its travel for efficient pedaling, predictable braking, and excellent traction
  • A short stem paired with long top tube, combined with a 67.8-degree head tube angle provides confidence at speed without sacrificing agility
  • Two full-size bottle cage mounts fit inside the front triangle on all frame sizes. Pair with Anything Bracket for pack-free singletrack bliss
  • Rear Flip chip adjusts head tube angle and bottom bracket height for terrain, wheel size, and personal preference
  • Super Boost 157 x 12mm rear hub spacing combined with a standard width bottom bracket results in a 432mm chainstay length that’s 5mm shorter than previous-generations
  • Spec’d with a 29 x 2.35" wheel/tire combination, but can accommodate a range of additional sizes of 27.5 x 2.8 - 3.0", 29 x 2.35", and 29 x 2.2 - 2.6"

Flip Chip

How it works

Flipping the shock mount hardware adjusts bottom bracket height, head tube angle, and seat tube angle so riders can fine-tune their experience.

Why it matters

  • Provides the ability to alternate wheel and tire sizes
  • Riders can adjust for their terrain, or desired handling characteristics

Frame Protection

How it works

We use various materials to protect our frames and forks from damage, whether it’s a rock strike on the trail or thick, abrasive mud on your favorite gravel route.

Why it matters

  • Our products are built from experience — we’ve been there enough to know that a carbon fork can benefit from added protection just as much as the downtube on a suspension bike.

Split Pivot Suspension System

How it works

Split Pivot suspension design uses a concentric rear axle pivot to isolate pedaling and braking forces from each other—no other suspension system offers this level of isolation.

Why it matters

  • Allows us to tune the pedaling and braking forces independently
  • Maximizes pedaling and braking performance without compromising either
  • Results in optimal pedaling efficiency and traction when braking
