Looking for the best full-suspension trail bike for those long days on bucket-list trails?

How about fast and fun weekend rides on your local trail network?

Horsethief Deore can do both. The frame fits two full-size water bottles in the triangle and features top tube mounts for ride essentials — enjoy riding fully equipped without the weight and bulk of a backpack.

Horsethief’s aluminum frame uses a Split Pivot suspension design and trail geometry for solid uphill performance and a reassuring feel on daunting descents.

120 mm rear and 140 mm front suspension travel keep you in control over trail obstacles, and the 29" wheels hold their momentum to keep you rolling.

Shimano’s Deore 1 x 12 drivetrain is built on decades of refinement in a reliable package that you can trust to take you anywhere.

  • Aluminum frame and Split Pivot suspension design with 120mm of efficient travel, remaining fully active under braking while supportive throughout its travel, paired with a 140mm suspension fork
  • A short stem paired with long top tube, combined with a 67-degree head tube angle provides descending confidence, yet balances overall wheelbase length and slow speed maneuverability
  • Every size fits two full-size bottles in the triangle; Anything Bracket and top tube mounts boost cargo space for pack-free riding bliss
  • Super Boost 157 x 12mm rear hub spacing combined with a standard width bottom bracket results in a 432mm chainstay length that’s 5mm shorter than previous-generations
  • Rear flip chip adjusts head tube angle and bottom bracket height for terrain, wheel size, and personal preference
  • Spec’d with a 29 x 2.5’’ front and 2.4" rear wheel/tire combination, but can accommodate a range of additional sizes of 27.5 x 2.8 - 3.0" and 29 x 2.2 - 2.6’’

Split Pivot Suspension System

How it works

Split Pivot suspension design uses a concentric rear axle pivot to isolate pedaling and braking forces from each other—no other suspension system offers this level of isolation.

Why it matters

  • Allows us to tune the pedaling and braking forces independently
  • Maximizes pedaling and braking performance without compromising either
  • Results in optimal pedaling efficiency and traction when braking

Frame Protection

How it works

We use various materials to protect our frames and forks from damage, whether it’s a rock strike on the trail or thick, abrasive mud on your favorite gravel route.

Why it matters

  • Our products are built from experience — we’ve been there enough to know that a carbon fork can benefit from added protection just as much as the downtube on a suspension bike.

Flip Chip

How it works

Flipping the shock mount hardware adjusts bottom bracket height, head tube angle, and seat tube angle so riders can fine-tune their experience.

Why it matters

  • Provides the ability to alternate wheel and tire sizes
  • Riders can adjust for their terrain, or desired handling characteristics
